Inspired by the murder of Eric Garner. He was selling single cigarettes called, “Lucies,” when approached by police in Staten Island, New York. He was placed in a choke hold until he died. He kept repeating that he could not breather until he became unconscious and died. Following his murder, there were a number of deaths of black men and women at the hands of law enforcement. Social outrage of the killing of black Americans has solidified a movement of Americans of all races and creeds to bring attention to police brutality.
